The 2nd annual Omaha Film Festival will be held
February 27 through March 4, 2007, at the
Westwood 8 Theaters.
Check out the

Being a huge Indiana Jones fan, I had to report
this.
George Lucas said Friday that filming of the
long-awaited "Indiana Jones" movie will begin
next year. Harrison Ford, who appeared in the
three earlier flicks, the last one coming in
1989, is set to star again. Lucas said he and
Steven Spielberg recently finalized the script
for the film.

Famed adventurer, environmentalist and TV
personality
Steve Irwin,
known around the world as the "Crocodile
Hunter,"
was killed Monday by a stingray during a diving
expedition off the coast of Queensland,
Australia; he was 44.
I have always been a huge fan of the Crocodile
Hunter. Our thoughts and prayers are with him
and his family.

Festival II very
soon. The Extreme
2-Day Film Festival gives filmmakers 2-days (48
hours) to write, shoot, edit and turn in a

This Sunday morning will be our final day of
shooting
Echo Factory Production's
Hero Alley.
We will be on location from 3:30 am until noon
on Sunday. Last weekends shoot went very smooth
with some amazing performances by all the
actors!

Omaha Film Festival kicked
off its run Thursday with a great collection of
films. On Thursday night there was a great
filmmaker party. The festival will be running
through Sunday, March 26. You can view the

Shadow Board received second
place at the
Hot Shops Film
Festival in the
amateur Horror/Sci-Fi Category. A special thanks
to the the entire cast of Shadow Board. Andrea,
Kia, Mikkeala, Jay, Lou and all our extras at
the funeral home all helped make the film a
success.

Two great festivals will be taking place in
March. The
Hot Shops Film
Festival will be
going on March 3 - 12. We have three films
entered into that festival. You can check the

Also this month is the first annual
Omaha Film Festival. This
festival will be taking place March 23 - 26 and
is turning out to be a true international
festival. There will be some great films as well
as some amazing workshops.

Robert Allan Vranes - Producer/Co-Founder, Sail
Kat Productions
Born: March 24, 1942 - Died: December 18, 2005
Robert was instrumental in the formation of Sail
Kat Productions. His constant support throughout
all our productions was always welcome and
invaluable. His involvement was key in the
acquisition of most of our equipment and his
humility was welcomed as he helped in any
capacity needed, from running the boom or smoke
machine to repairing equipment. Thank you for
everything.
Dad...you will be missed.

are still currently working on the final cut of
our short horror,
Shadow Board, and expect to
have it finished within the next couple of
weeks.

The writing process to our first feature length
film, tentatively titled "L'Anneau"
has begun. The first draft is expected to be
completed sometime before the end of the year.
Production is slated to begin the summer of '05,
with an eye on a first quarter 2006 release.

Sail Kat Productions and RLM Productions newest
short film, "Emily" will be shown at the annual
UNO Film Society Film Festival! The Festival
will be held at 7 p.m. on April 17, 2004 in the
Auditorium of the Eppley Administration Building
on the UNO Campus. Admission is free. Please
